New to Fort Nassau, Texels Skuumkoppe beer! ‘Skuumkoppe’ is a floral & fruity Dutch Weizen beer with 6% ABV brewed by Texelse Bierbrouwerij in the Netherlands. It’s amber beer with a beautiful full head. The fruity, yeasty aromas are bursting with overripe banana and yellow fruits. The aftertaste of Skuumkoppe is sweet and reminiscent of ripe fruit and caramel.
Skuumkoppe is named after the white caps on the waves of the rough sea around the island of Texel, The Netherlands. The beer is the pride of Texels Beer Brewery; wheat beer to which various types of hops and a characteristic top fermentation give a fuller taste than other white beer. Fermentation in the bottle and unfiltered, with a little yeast to give that extra generous taste.
Texels Skuumkoppe combines well with different dishes, both meat and fish. But of course you can also have a nice beer with bar bites while enjoying the sunset over Willemstad!
